I've always believed that some of the most meaningful transformations begin when someone feels truly seen, heard, and understood.
My journey began in education, where I discovered that helping people recognize their strengths and believe in what's possible can change the direction of their lives. As a high school English teacher and coach, I learned that the most powerful lessons often extend far beyond the classroom. Sometimes, all it takes is someone who sees potential in us before we recognize it ourselves.
That belief has remained at the heart of everything I've done. Today, as a leadership trainer, executive coach, and founder of Anchorset Consulting, I work with students, professionals, and organizations to strengthen communication, build meaningful relationships, and turn potential into lasting impact.
What continues to inspire me most isn't simply watching someone develop a new skill. It's witnessing the moment they recognize what they're capable of and begin showing up differently because of it.
The Journey Behind Anchorset
My career has always centered on one thing: helping people recognize their potential and discover what's possible.
While teaching high school English, I founded The Living History Project, an initiative that connected students with military veterans so they could hear and preserve their stories. What began as a classroom experience eventually grew into a district-wide program.
But what stayed with me wasn't simply the history being preserved. It was the human connection that happened along the way. I saw what changed when someone felt genuinely heard and when students discovered that some of life's most valuable lessons couldn't be found in a textbook.
That experience reinforced something I had come to believe deeply: information alone isn't enough. Real growth happens when we connect what we learn to how we think, communicate, and interact with others.
That philosophy eventually led me into leadership development, executive coaching, and corporate training. Through my work with Dale Carnegie and the founding of Anchorset Consulting, I've had the opportunity to bring those same principles of connection, confidence, and personal growth to individuals and organizations.
Today, whether I'm working with a student preparing for an important interview or an executive navigating a leadership challenge, my purpose remains the same: to help people recognize the strengths they already possess and develop the confidence to put them into action.
